October 11, 2013

Description

An Art Deco former petrol station / garage for Sale in Lostwithiel, Cornwall.

Information

I love places like this, all I can see is tonnes of potential and at what looks like a great price. Here’s what the agents have to say:

Downend Garage has now ceased trading but offers an opportunity to purchase a large commercial site with 4 bedroom living accommodation. The property has frontage to the A390 of approximately 270’ and could offer a number of opportunities (subject to necessary consents). The prominent Art Deco building was erected in about 1930 by the current owners family and has been in the same family ownership ever since. There is a retail shop to the left hand front corner which used to service the petrol business and to the right is a large vehicle repair garage with workshop extensions. The garage has a hydraulic vehicle lift and numerous other fixtures and fitting which are available subject to negotiation. As noted there is 4 bedroom living accommodation, which is in need of up dating, and also has a pleasant enclosed rear garden area. There is double scope for re development and a number of possible uses.

For Sale: Barns for Renovation – Cornwall,UK

23 Jul
July 23, 2012

For sale we have 2 barns for renovation in Cornwall. These stone barns with  commenced planning permission for the conversion into two separate residential dwellings have permission granted for one 4 bedroom and one 3 bedroom residential houses.

The listing on the website doesn’t make it desperately clear how the property is split other than ‘lots 2 and 3 offer the purchaser(s) the opportunity of converting the barns into two separate dwellings, each with full residential planning consent. The conversion plans and a copy of the planning consent can be requested from the selling agents.’

There is no mention of a plot 1, but plots 2 and 3 have further information with ‘each lot having a separate mains water pipe, which has already been brought down the road and are located to the eastern boundary. Should the sale of lots 2 & 3 be split, the arrangements for the division will be made on the ground between all parties concerned.’

The property has an asking price of £350,000
